Course Name: First Aid Response 3 Day

Course Aim:

The aim of this First Aid Responder Course is to equip learners with comprehensive knowledge and skills to act effectively as a First Aid Responder. This course is designed to prepare individuals to handle a variety of emergency situations in the pre-hospital environment.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this online First Aid course, learners will be able to:

  1. Manage Life-Threatening Conditions: Effectively deal with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  2. Provide Non-Emergency First Aid: Offer first aid response for non-life-threatening conditions to prevent further harm before emergency services arrive.
  3. Versatile Response Capabilities: Deliver competent first aid response in diverse environments, including homes and recreational settings.
  4. Develop Personal Skills: Exhibit essential personal skills such as composure, competence, and self-confidence, while being aware of their limitations.
  5. Handle Special Circumstances: Recognize and manage the unique challenges posed by special circumstances, understanding the need for additional training in these areas.

 Course Content:

  1. Patient Assessment: Techniques for evaluating the condition of patients.
  2. Incident Procedure: Effective procedures for managing various types of incidents.
  3. Common Medical Emergencies: Identification and response to common medical emergencies.
  4. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Training in life-saving CPR techniques.
  5. Injury Management: Strategies for managing different types of injuries.
  6. Care of the Unconscious Patient: Techniques for caring for patients who are unconscious.
  7. Burns and Electrical Injury Management: Handling burns and injuries caused by electricity.
  8. Hypothermia and Hyperthermia: Responding to extreme body temperature conditions.
  9. Information Management: Efficient management of critical information in emergency situations.
  10. Communications: Effective communication skills crucial for first aid responders.
  11. Well-being of the First Aid Responder: Focusing on the mental and physical well-being of the responder.

Certification:

Upon successful completion and validation of the course, learners will receive a PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) certificate, valid for 2 years.
